Best PMP training in Malaysia — providers compared on fee, dates and ATP status

The best PMP training in Malaysia is the one that is a PMI Authorized Training Partner, fits your dates and prices its course in a way you can compare. Here is that comparison, with the fees as each provider advertises them.

Updated 26 October 2026

Best PMP training in Malaysia is a question with a narrower answer than the search results suggest. From 1 December 2026, PMI will only count live instructor-led training toward the 35-hour requirement if it comes from a PMI Authorized Training Partner, so the first filter is not price or reviews, it is whether the provider is on PMI’s list.

This page compares seven Malaysian providers that PMI’s own directory or a PMI-issued badge confirms as Authorized Training Partners. It sets out each one’s advertised PMP fee, class format, upcoming dates and HRD Corp wording, read from the provider’s own page on 26 October 2026.

We do not rank them. Fees are not like-for-like, because what each one includes differs, and the section below explains how. Prices and dates change quickly, so treat the read date as part of every figure and confirm with the provider before you book.

All seven are listed as PMI Authorized Training Partners, checked against PMI’s directory on 26 October 2026 (details after the table). Every fee, date and HRD Corp line is the provider’s own wording from its own page that day.

How to compare these fees fairly

The headline numbers are not the same thing. Four things differ between them, and each can move the total by thousands of ringgit.

Tax. Some fees exclude SST and one excludes 8% tax, while ProCert’s is stated as nett. A fee that excludes tax is lower than the figure you will pay.

The exam fee. PMCERTS says its fee includes the PMI exam voucher, and Trainocate’s page shows the exam as included. ProCert lists the voucher as an optional add-on. Sharma states its fee excludes the PMP exam fee. When PMI’s own figure was read on 25 September 2026 it was US$425 for members and US$675 for non-members, so this one line decides whether two quotes are comparable.

Format. A five-day classroom course, five weekdays online, and a self-paced pathway are different products at different prices, even from one provider. Sharma’s RM 3,100 is the online class and its RM 4,100 is the physical one.

Support. Several providers advertise practice-question banks, study plans and post-class coaching. These are real differences, and they are described in each provider’s own words, so ask what is included in writing before you compare on price.

How PMI’s own directory was used to check ATP status

PMI publishes a directory of Authorized Training Partners at atp.pmi.org/provider-directory. Filtered to Malaysia on 26 October 2026 it listed 20 partners, including Iverson Associates, PM Advance, Project Management Academy, Sharma Management International, Trainocate (M) and Skillet, which is the company behind PMCERTS.

ProCert’s company did not appear when searched by name. The badge on its own page, however, is an Authorized Training Partner badge issued by PMI to Global Master Training & Consultancy Sdn. Bhd. on 10 July 2026 and valid to 10 July 2027, so we list it as an ATP. A partner approved this year may simply not have reached the directory yet.

The directory shows that a company is a partner. It does not show the tier. When a provider describes itself as Premier, that is the provider’s own wording, and we report it as such rather than as a PMI-confirmed tier.

One advertiser needs a note. KnowledgeHut’s sponsored result advertises a PMP course at RM 1,345, and PMI’s directory lists an ATP called Knowledgehut Solutions Pvt Ltd, which is the Indian company. We found no Malaysian KnowledgeHut entity in the directory, and the ad’s landing page did not load for us, so it is not in the table. If you are considering it, ask which legal entity delivers the class and whether that entity is the ATP.

Why the 1 December 2026 rule matters for this choice

PMI’s PMP page, read on 25 September 2026, says that starting 1 December 2026, live classes taught in person or online are eligible only if delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner, a China Registered Education Provider or an eligible accredited higher education program.

Self-paced on-demand courses from any organisation still count, and an active CAPM still satisfies the requirement on its own. So the rule narrows only the live classroom and live online route.

What PMI’s page does not say is how live hours from a non-ATP completed before the date are treated in an application submitted after it. Do not assume an answer. If it applies to you, get PMI’s reply in writing.

If you are training a team rather than preparing for the exam

A PMP course is exam preparation for an individual who already has years of project experience. A team that needs to scope, estimate and report work the same way needs a shorter course, usually two to three days, and no PMI credential comes with it.

Five providers advertise a two-day project management course. Four publish a price, all read from the provider’s own page on 26 October 2026.

We run two to three day project management courses for teams at your office, priced per training day. The courses page sets out what each one covers.

Questions

›How much does PMP training cost in Malaysia?

Among the seven providers compared here, the advertised PMP course fee ran from RM 3,100 (Sharma’s online class) to RM 7,500 (ProCert’s standard fee) on 26 October 2026. Two providers publish no price.

These are not like-for-like. Some exclude tax, and some include the PMI exam voucher while others do not. Compare the total including tax and the exam fee.

›Do I need an Authorized Training Partner for PMP training?

For live instructor-led training, yes from 1 December 2026, according to PMI’s PMP page. Self-paced on-demand courses from any organisation still count, and so does an active CAPM.

›How do I check that a provider really is a PMI Authorized Training Partner?

Search PMI’s directory at atp.pmi.org/provider-directory, and filter by country. A very new partner may not appear yet, in which case ask for the PMI-issued ATP badge and check who it was issued to.

›Is PMP training HRD Corp claimable?

Several of the providers above state that their PMP course is claimable. That is each provider’s own statement. The employer applies for the grant before the training takes place, and the provider and course must be registered with HRD Corp.

›Which PMP training provider is the best in Malaysia?

None is best for everyone. The first filter is ATP status, because of the 1 December 2026 rule. After that it comes down to dates that fit you, a total price you can compare once tax and the exam fee are counted, and the support you want after the class.

›Can I take the PMP exam without attending a course?

You need 35 hours of project management education, or an active CAPM. The hours can come from a self-paced on-demand course from any organisation. After 1 December 2026, live classes count only from an ATP.
